SURA Membership

SURA members share a common interest in exploring and developing ways to advance science and to strengthen their institution through collaborative efforts among universities and other research organizations. SURA seeks as new members institutions that share these interests.

Applicants for membership may be nominated by any group of three members or the President of the applicant institution may file a written request for membership with the Secretary of the Corporation. A nominee may be elected to membership by an affirmative vote of two-thirds majority of the entire membership of the Council of Presidents. Membership fees and annual dues are as noted below:

Membership fee** $10,000
Annual Dues $3,000

**Payment of the membership fee may be prorated over a five-year period.

All nominations and applications shall be addressed in writing to the Secretary of the Corporation.
