Development Committee

The SURA Board of Trustees has appointed a Development Committee Steering Group which represents the larger Extended Committee:

• James Coleman, Rice University
• Ray Fornes, North Carolina State University
• Curt Peterson, West Virginia University
• Winfred Phillips, University of Florida
• N. Radhakrishnan, North Carolina A&T State University
• Staff Liaison: Russell Moy, SURA Senior Advisor and General Counsel

Responsibilities of the Development Committee:

• Create a forum for SURA institutions and prospective partners to discuss potential opportunities and new multi-institutional programs.
• Identify sources of support to expand existing programs or initiate new programs among members and outside partners.
• Launch programmatic and business development initiatives in support of the SURA mission.
• Create mechanisms to advocate for SURA-wide or multi-institutional programs.
• Advise and support SURA on technology commercialization and other private sector partnerships.
